Meehan was the guest speaker at the MCVFPA meeting on Saturday, October 13,
2012.
Congressman Meehan spoke to us about the Federal Bill HR 1348 "Fire Police
Fairness Act."
At this time fire police are not considered Public Safety Officers thus not
eligible for Line of Duty Death Benefits.
On October
15, 2012, a group of Fire Police Officers from around the Commonwealth attended
the introduction of a resolution in Harrisburg honoring Fire Police for their
dedication in helping
to preserve the safety and well-being of the residents of Pennsylvania.
